A look at where Pão-de-Açucar supermarket used to be on the corner of Avenida Santo Amaro, 6400 and Rua Alexandre Dumas. OESP had a little cubicle at the entrance of the market where I used to sit behind a typewriter from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm waiting for clients to advertise in the newspaper.

After working with Bernardino at the counter of 'OESP' receiving advertising from local real estate agents, help wanted ads and miscelaneous at Jumbo Aeroporto since April 1974, I was transfered to a smaller counter in a smaller super-market on Avenida Santo Amaro, 6400 in the corner of Rua Alexandre Dumas.

In the corner of Rua Alexandre Dumas and Avenida Adolfo Pinheiro which runs paralell to Av Santo Amaro, there was a real-estate office where a young man called João Roberto used to work as a factotum. Roberto used to come down and make conversation with me during the long hours I waited for a customer to show up. We ended up developing a great friendship. He used to have lunch at a restaurant Sabesp kept for their many employees two blocks away. It was supposed to be an internal affair but Sabesp staff didn't mind whether their employees brought along visitor with them.
